ABOUT

Hi, I'm Justin, owner and principle architect at Fall Line Design Studios. I grew up with a passion for design and architecture. My dad was an architect and I don't think I can remember a time when architecture was not a part of my life. I started sketching when I was a kid and never really stopped. I completed my BS in Architecture in 1996, and became a licensed architect in 2000 after completing my three-year year internship and sitting for the exam. In 2009, I earned my LEED AP certification.

Just out of undergrad, I joined Corgan where I led the planning, design, and development of several major airports across the US. I then spent a number of years with HKS where I designed, developed, and oversaw completion of 12 hotels, a nightclub, and two master-planned communities. While at HKS, I also led design for Hyatt Place and Summerfield Suites prototypes and the JW Marriott Resort in San Antonio. On occasion, I'd work on smaller, international resort developments like Grupo Pellas for The Santa Maria Hotel and Golf Resort in Panama City and Mukul (Auberge) Beach, Golf, and Spa in Guacalito, Nicaragua.

After meeting my lovely wife, Meghan, I moved to a more "family friendly" work schedule and moved to being an in-house architect for leading global brands like Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Neiman Marcus.

In March of 2022, my wife convinced me to follow another passion: skiing. She signed me up to try-out for Beaver Creek Ski Patrol (a life long dream) and in October of 2022 I signed off from the corporate world, joined Sk Patrol and official hung up my own full time shingle.  Fall Line Design Studios, Dallas + Beaver Creek.
